Springfield Police and Crosslines volunteer for National Faith and Blue Weekend
By Local Springfield news desk
The Springfield Police Department and Crosslines Community Outreach are holding a service project on Oct. 9, from 10 a.m.-noon, at 3055 E. Division.
Volunteers will help prepare diapers for distribution by counting and bundling diapers into individual packages.
“Stronger, safer communities are built when neighbors and officers work side by side, not only in times of need but also in service to one another,” Chief Paul Williams said.
National Faith & Blue Weekend is Oct. 9-12 and aims to build bridges to more inclusive communities.
