Jefferson Avenue closes in Springfield for emergency sewer repair Oct. 5-6

Jefferson Avenue will close to traffic at 404 N. Jefferson Avenue starting 7 a.m. on Monday for emergency sewer main repair.

The roadway is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, depending on weather and conditions.

Sidewalks in the area will remain open and access to nearby businesses and parking will be maintained.

Southbound motorists are advised to detour via Tampa Street, Boonville Avenue and Water Street.
